Privacy Policy

Overview
GEOMSHOT is a casual arcade game suitable for ages 9 and up. We keep data collection to a minimum: an optional leaderboard entry you submit yourself, anonymous usage analytics, and family-safe advertising. We do not collect names, contacts, precise location, or user-resettable advertising identifiers.
Leaderboard (Firebase Firestore)
If you choose to submit a score, the nickname you type and your score are stored in Google Firebase Firestore and shown publicly on the leaderboard. Submitting is optional. Please use a nickname rather than your real name.
Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated product analytics — for example which screens are viewed and in-game events such as game start, level up, or game over. This helps us improve the game. Analytics events are not tied to your real identity, and we do not sell this data.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Android app shows an optional rewarded ad (via Google AdMob) only when you choose to watch one to continue after a game over. Because this app is directed at children, ads are configured for child-safe delivery:
- Only General audiences (G-rated) ad content is requested.
- Ads are treated as child-directed and are non-personalized (contextual only).
- The app does not use or transmit the Android Advertising ID (AAID); the corresponding permission is removed from the build.
See Google's Advertising Policies for details on how AdMob handles ad requests.
Children & Google Play Families Policy
GEOMSHOT is designed for a general audience that includes children (ages 9+), and we comply with the Google Play Families Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond the optional, self-entered leaderboard nickname. Advertising shown to children is child-directed, non-personalized, and G-rated, and no advertising identifier is collected. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Local Storage
Preferences such as language, mute state, and unlocked codex entries are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Firebase (leaderboard), Google AdMob (ads), and PostHog (analytics). Please refer to their privacy policies: Firebase, Google/AdMob, PostHog.
